Competitiveness is central to the analysis and debate about the competitiveness of the region. The company was founded in 2006 by the University of Deusto Deusto Foundation as a convergence of strategic initiatives in both the private and public nature. Through the investigation of excellence, specialized instruction programs and constant interaction with the economic actors (local government, local and national, European Union, companies, technology centers, business organizations, associations cluster, etc.)

Orchestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness (University of Deusto) offers grants for:

• Students who want to do a Ph.D. research in a doctoral program offered by the Basque Institute of Competitiveness and the University of Deusto.
• Postgraduate students at other institutions whose research focus is one of the topics mentioned below and who want to do a fellowship in the Basque Institute of Competitiveness, while continuing their studies.

Scholarship candidates must have skill in English language (excellent) and Spanish (basic)
